To host your masternode with NODE40 where the 1,000 Dash collateral is held by a third party (for example, with SALT Lending), simply launch a new masternode from your NODE40 account and issue a protx register_fund transaction from your Dash Core Wallet.
Issuing a protx register_fund transaction will simultaneously send your 1,000 Dash collateral to the third party and register your new masternode with the Dash network . At this time, all third party masternodes require the Dash Core Wallet.
You can use the NODE40 configuration helper from your account to create the protx register_fund transaction statement in the following format:
protx register_fund [Third Party Public Address] [IP Address]:9999 [Owner Key] [Operator Public Key] [Voting Key] 0 [Public Key Payout Address] [Public Key Fund Address]
How to issue a protx register_fund
- Follow the prompts to Launch a Masternode. Select a payment option and click continue. Please contact support if you have questions about payment options.
- Unlock your Dash Core Wallet by navigating to Settings then Unlock Wallet
- Locate the configuration helper for the Dash Core Wallet from your NODE40 account and follow steps 1-9 to register your masternode as a deterministic masternode. Don't forget the .0001 Dash to cover the network transaction fee.
Once complete, your 1,000 Dash collateral will be transferred to third party address specified and will be registered as a Deterministic Dash Masternode. After a few minutes, it will display as enabled on your NODE40 Monitor.
The can be found on the My Nodes page.
