If you would like to use the Dash Masternode Tool (DMT) to run your masternode from a Trezor, Keepkey or Ledger Nano S hardware wallet, here are some setup instructions.
You can download the DMT from https://github.com/Bertrand256/dash-masternode-tool with compiled executables available at https://github.com/Bertrand256/dash-masternode-tool/releases. Please note this is a third-party tool and is not affiliated with Node40 or Dash Core.
When you commission a masternode at NODE40, we supply you with the details needed in the DMT's Masternode section.
Step 3 of our commissioning process will give you the option to view the Raw Configuration Details. If you ever need to locate your configuration details at a later date, click your email address in the upper right of the site and select Commissioned Nodes. From there, you will find your configuration details by clicking the Raw Configuration Details button.
Simply copy and paste between NODE40 and the DMT.
The Collateral in the DMT is the Public Key (address) you used to launch your masternode. After pasting in your Collateral, click the green arrow pointing to the right. This will fill in the correct Path on your hardware wallet.
Once your 1,000 Dash has 15 or more confirmations, you can click the Start Masternode using Hardware Wallet button. If you are not sure that it is safe to remote-start your masternode, visit the Node40 Monitor page. The Monitor page will display a message letting you know how long your confirmations will take.
NOTE: If you see an error when attempting to Start the masternode, click the Disconnect HW button and then the Test HW button. Most errors are due to a communication problem between the DMT and your hardware wallet.
When you are ready to remove rewards from your masternode, be sure to use the DMT Tools menu. Attempting to remove rewards through your hardware wallet interface is prone to error. If you use the DMT to withdraw rewards, you will not accidentally take your masternode offline.
